We are looking for a LPN to work in our Moorhead, MN Clinic. This position will be responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and patient care as well as supporting the operations of the clinic. Work Hours Part- time, 20 hours/week. Hours will include Monday – Friday until 6pm (Shifts will vary) and Saturdays 10-2pm (every other Saturday). This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/life insurance, PTO and 403B retirement plan. Responsibilities Customer Service –Interview and screen patients, conduct patient history review, prepare patients for examinations/procedures. Refer patients per protocol. Patient Advocacy and Education –Provide basic patient education and additional education after clinician or RN assessment. Including explanations of all FDA approved birth control methods. Provide specific instruction on the client’s selected birth control method. Inform patients in a non-directive manner about all options available to them in the event of an unintended pregnancy and make a referral for service based on needs. Medical Duties –As appropriate, assist with surgical procedures, monitor patient stability, and perform macroscopic exam of tissue post-surgery. Assist the physician in the surgical room. Administer injections, contraceptive supplies and treatment medications as ordered by clinician. Administer emergency medications with on-site RN/clinician supervision. Perform routine laboratory tests including venipuncture. Communicate lab test results. Process receipt of incoming lab results. Clinic Administrative Duties– Assure complete documentation of care plan. Triage incoming patient medical records to assure appropriate clinician review. Perform computer functions including medical/Pap smear follow-up, prescription tracking and inventory reconciliation. Assure inventory control of clinic and contraceptive supplies. Required Qualifications * High School degree orequivalent * Current LPN license in the state of MN * Current CPR certification (or obtained within six months of employment) Preferred Qualifications * Reproductive health experience * Experience working with high risk or minority populations (youth, women, minorities, etc.) * Bilingual language skills (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) Make a difference in someone''s life today — work for Planned Parenthood.
