The Institute was recently awarded a commendation by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Cancer recognizing the clinical and research efforts of talented physicians and staff from many disciplines.
As a member of a multi-specialty surgical group including a partnership with other fellowship trained surgical oncologists, you will perform the full spectrum of surgical oncology procedures and work closely with medical and radiation oncologists as well as numerous other medical specialists. Some general surgical cases are also to be expected. In this role you will have the full support of the DeCesaris Cancer Institute including disease-specific nurse navigation, tumor conferences, social work, survivorship programs, clinical research, as well as the Health System's dynamic Surgery Department including robotic surgery, a Simulation Lab, state of the art OR's and facilities.
Our successful candidate will be a highly respected clinician, with exceptional surgical skills and the ability and desire to grow a state of the art surgical oncology program. To qualify, you must be eligible for a Maryland State license, have Board certification in General Surgery and be Fellowship trained in Surgical Oncology. Experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques is also required. .
