The Development Contracts & Finance Specialist/Senior Specialist assist with the preparation and tracking of department and project budgets and contracts within the Research and Development department. The Specialist/Senior Specialist will coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from external vendors for specific outsourced clinical trial activities. Other responsibilities include: preparing and administering all contractual activities and documents between Salix, CROs and/or vendors, collaborating across all Research and Development departments to provide accurate information regarding the status of budgets and contracts, and tracking the progession of contracts from request through approval stages.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
This position requires an Associates Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field and a Bachelor''s Degree is preferred. A minimum of three to five years of related experience in finance and contracts within a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organization (CRO) is required. The successful candidate must be able to organize, analyze and convert data into a clear format and be proficient in analyzing agreements and resolving clinical contractual issues. Superb interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation are required. Advanced verbal and written skills, negotiation, analytical and organizational skills are a must. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, along with excellent computer skills, specifically with Excel and Word, are also required. Apply for this job:
