District Sales Manager, Southeast Category: Sales Description: Responsible for achievement of sales objectives through management of a field sales district.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Recruit and hire qualified sales representatives according to organization objectives. 2. Provide leadership, coaching and development to team of 8 -14 sales representatives. 3. Work with senior sales management to establish district sales goals and objectives. 4. Achieve sales targets through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics. 5. Manage district sales related budgets and field-related expenses while maximizing ROI. 6. Plan and conduct periodic district sales meetings. 7. Communicate and monitor all relevant company-related information including policies and procedures. 8. Establish and leverage key customer contacts. 9. Team and work cross-functionally within the company and assigned region.
Perform all duties in keeping with the Companyâ??s core values, policies and all applicable regulations.
Requirements: 1. BA/BS degree required and a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience. 2. Must have completed a certified sales management development program or have at least two years pharmaceutical management experience. 3. Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales. Prefer experience in hiring, leading and development of a pharmaceutical/biotech sales team. 4. Experience in implementing, monitoring and tracking goals and objectives for a sales team. 5. Experience in the implementation of launch sales plans is desired. 6. Geographic knowledge of marketplace and experience in the district strongly preferred. 7. Related specialty market experience preferred. 8. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, group dynamic and presentation skills required. 9. Expertise in various computer software programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. 10. Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team is essential.
