The primary objective of the Field Inventory Associate is to deliver and pick up all surgical sets/kits in the district and know their status (location and readiness) at any time. This position is responsible for the preparation and delivery of sets/kits for surgery including Quality Control audits of sets/kits, delivers and pick up sets across the district and coordinates the inbound and outbound shipping deliveries. Employee performs all aspects of inventory management, including replenishments, cycle counts, expiration management and other functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the inventory. This position will report to the Field Logistics Manager with significant input from the District Sales Manager. Sales Representative and Surgical Technologist will be able to directly request set pick-up and drop off. In certain cases, this position will handle the tissue tracking log and monitoring of tissue within the districts served. Strong attention to detail and capability to work to tight deadlines is a must. This position will be on call for un-scheduled emergency deliveries. Position Responsibilities
Position DescriptionResponsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review assigned pick-up and delivery schedule daily for all surgical sets/kits outstanding in field Ensures that 100% of received inventory and returned inventory matches with shipping documents Work with Operating Room Staff and Central Sterile staff in hospitals for scheduled deliveries and pick-ups of surgical sets/kits. Drives vehicle to deliver and pick up sets across the district and coordinates the inbound and outbound shipping deliveries. Contact Field Logistics Manager in the event of inventory discrepancies Control all ingoing/outgoing inventories Perform the assembly and preparation of sets/kits for surgery including Quality Control audits of sets/kits, Perform field inventory audits.
Knowledge: Applies basic knowledge of practices and procedures for specific area of responsibility.
Problem Solving: Develops solutions to routine problems of limited scope.
Discretion / Latitude: Work is closely supervised and follows specific work instructions.
Impact: Contributions are usually limited to task-related activities. Failure to achieve results has a serious effect on schedules and customer relations.
Liaison: Internal interactions are primarily within the immediate work group. External interactions are primarily transactional or task oriented. Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma and 2 - 3 years of logistics shipping/receiving/delivery related experience. Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Medical Device or Hospital logistics shipping/receiving/delivery experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to take direction and work independently. Position requires ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push as needed. Position requires a significant amount of driving. Ability to work in a cold or hot environment. Position requires significant attention to detail. Strong verbal communication skills.

Periodically required to work weekends, evenings, nights and holidays and overtime.
